"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."
Hebrews 11:1-3

Thus begins the great "faith chapter" of the Bible. It goes on to specifically name 16 Old Testament heroes of the faith. On this page I plan to offer short biographies of heroes of the faith from throughout history along with spiritual lessons from their lives.

Abel--bringer of a "more excellent sacrifice"
Enoch--"He was not; for God took him"
Noah--"according to all that God commanded him, so did he"
