Try the following, or just forget about it:
- Click the
Refresh button fourteen times.
- If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that
it is spelled correctly. Your browser is not responsible for mistakes you make.
- To check your connection settings, see if your modem is plugged in. If it is, and it's not working, give it a hard hit with a hammer.
- If your Network Administrator has enabled it, good ol' Microsoft Windows
can examine your network and automatically discover new vulnerabilities in your connection to the internet which would allow malicious hackers and viruses to wreak havoc.
If you would like your good friend Windows to try and discover them,
click Detect Network Settings

Maybe your browser just needs a break. Close your browser, go away for about ten minutes, and then come back and try to access the website. If you still can't access it, be sure to have some durable objects nearby that you can physically vent your frustration on instead of on your computer.

If you are trying to reach a secure site, make sure your Security settings can support it. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section and check settings for SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, PCT 1.0. (yeah, right, like you're really going to do all that)
- Click the Back button to get out of this ridiculous site.
